Brucite is hexagonal crystallization mineral composed of native magnesium hydroxide and native magnesium hydroxide occurs in serpentines and impure limestone, hardness is 2-3 on Mohs hardness and specific gravity is 2.38-2.40.Brucite is a far-between mineral,which had not been found in China on large scale before. Since mid 1990's, large deposit of brucite has been found in China, most commercialy valued mines are located in Fencheng city(formerly a county of Dandong). Up to now, over 4 million tons of reserve has been found in Fengcheng.

    Brucite products is belong to non-halogen, smokeless, have no leaked, no toxicity retardant. It is the ideal retardant material on rubber, plastic rubbers, electric apparatus, engineering plastic etc. And it can be widely used in PP. PE. PS. PC. ABS. EVA. PVC, EPDM etc. It also can be used in such kinds of engineering plastic as PBT, PA under the conditions of high temperature and simultaneously used with many other kinds of retardants, thus make the products have very good retardant performance of smoke elimination. In product of application, it is suitable for wires, cables, electric apparatus, building material, glass fiber, and so on. Provided using 50% magnesium hydroxide instead of hydrogen alumina in the PVC and rubber, it would obviously improve the function of restraining smoke and the rate of Oxygen Index.
